If you are looking for the manual on being a good father, you’ve found it in The FOCUSed Father.

Chris is on a mission to build a world of fathers who are committed to being present and connected in their children’s lives.

After reflecting on his own father’s example, gathering stories from other successful fathers, and examining his own role as father, Berg developed five principles to becoming a FOCUSed Father:

F – Family First

O – Only What Really Matters

C – Care More Than Anyone Else

U – Undivided Attention

S – Say I Love You

While the road to becoming a FOCUSed Father may challenge you along the way, it will be the most rewarding road you ever travel. It’s never too late to get started giving your children the gift of your FOCUSed time and attention.

This seems like a great idea (and very needed) but I'm wondering if you address divorced fathers at all? With over half of marriages ending in divorce there are many times that the fathers who do focus on their children get that stripped away from them because of our unfair family legal system. I am a very involved father but it is extremely difficult to maintain that focus when you see your kids 20% of the time. If you want to get some insight on keeping focus and how difficult that can be in broken families you should interview some fathers (like myself) who live it everyday. I think hearing that side of the fence can really help fathers who are with their kids appreciate what they have (and maybe appreciate their spouse) and make it easier to develop that very important "focus".
I'm glad to see fathers are starting to get recognized and credit for their involvement. Thanks for bringing visibility.
